My son is 4mnths old and is having cough for more than a mnth now.Since he has eczema(mild ) Iam afraid to put anything home remedy on his skin.He coughs during day time and is fine at night.Doc did blood test and x-ray of his chest and said he is fine.So pls help if you have faced my situation.Please.Iam so worried.Thanks. check for crying and colic board and feeding board,,both the post had almost similar kind of probs like yours...
here are my comments : cough is also caused by excessive drooling and is a sign of teething as well,,,if your dr has found out that nothing is wrong with his reports,,,check your baby gums,,if they are swelling, have turned pinkish,dark red or are very hard and if you move the finger you can feel the sections of the teeth underneath,,ne of these are the signs of teething,,and its normal for babies to have that..and they have that almost at all times when your baby gets a teeth..its pretty normal from 3-4month onwards...
other possibilities, are,,allergic to something around in your house,,thats making him cough,,since the reports are normal this one of most common reason for undetected sneezes,cold or cough or even in some cases, stuffed nose or runny nose..
also cough could be the result of dry air that is circulating continuous in your house, with airconditioner,,keep the air fresh ciculating...
check this post and try to eliminate all the airborn or chemical allergies or ne such conditions that can make your baby cough :

see if thats the case with your baby..

avoid ne homeremedies as your baby is sensitive to eczema,,let your dr be the best judge in the number of times your baby coughs and if at all ne mucus seen or not..also to the way it sounds...
also, give your baby a 2 teaspoon of water every 2-4hours,,in one bowl of say 8oz water,, put 1-2drops of melted ghee(clarified butter) and boil it,,once boiled,let it rest lukewarm and ghee should have dissolve properly by then,,once lukewarm,offer that to your baby,,your baby will feel better with sore throat,,if at all cough is because of that !
sometimes its just viral or seasonals,and if so your dr should be able to detect it..ne signs of fever, coughing at nights needs an immediate attention..
also note that keep your dr in track with the intensity of your baby cough,,you never know this may be the sign of something thats on your way..
