Hey Maithreyi,

Headstart is an excellent school and fabulous team they have. Few others are Jumbo kids, SSI in HSR layout etc. Only thing is you need to approach them way in advance 'cause some of them including headstart have a min age to start the kid. So if your kid is not that age (2-1/2 only) you can not even apply. Check out Eurokids in HSR layout also. Some good international schols if you are interested, TISB in whitefield, GEAR, Aditi intl, Ryan intl etc depending on where you are going to stay.
As for Gintara, one place to stay away from. They provide min to no safety for a child and few kids have to be taken to emergency due to their negligence. Hence we have pulled out our kid and several parents did that as well inspite of paying for the whole year. I heard lately they are getting so desparate and posing (stealing parent's names as anyone can use same "Name" field and signature on these bulletin boards) as parents and posting silly messages online. They have also threatened some reputable news agenceies with law suits when these news agencies published letters from parents who dropped out of their school. And Gintara's management is the ONLY school in bangalore who is doing these kind of things which unfortunate and one has to feel sorry for them.

I am sure you will find a good standard school in b.lore, just make sure you pursue in advance w/ schools.

I stay in North Bangalore (RT Nagar) and my daughter is going to Eurokids RT Nagar for the last 5 months and I am extremely happy about Eurokids RT Nagar.

You can check with Eurokids / Kidzee..

www(dot)eurokidsindia(dot)com and www(dot)kidzee(dot)com. Both have very good curriculum (combination of concepts & activities)

avoid Kangaroo kids, KIDZEE,Euro kids except in koramangala. Jambo Kids is supposed to be very good.
I have lived in the US and we are not allowed to not hit or spank our children. Most schools are making money from the ITboom. Do not be fooled by fancy words and promises.

Why don't you tone down. If you think that you are the only person who knows everything. there is something fundamentally wrong with you. You may have lived in the US, that by itself is not a qualification. Please understand that if you want US standards go back to the US. Who called you back to India. I am not justifying what schools or nurseries are doing but change (especially in India) is a gradual process. I suggest you stop using your US VISIT as a tag and stop posting annoying messages on this site. YOu are losing your credibility.

I have seen many emails from you and it seems like you have been in the US and then on going back to Blore, you have seen a lot many preschools before you liked a few.

Could you please expand on the name SSI in HSR layout I see in your emails.
How would you rate the Eurokid in Jayanagar 4th T block or the Podar Jumbo kids in JP Nagar 24th main? also, how about Anurag montessori in Jayanagar? I have 2 girls. The older one has really enjoyed her time in a montessori here in the US. But if I am to relocate to blore soon, I need to find a good preschool for my younger one in South blore (JP Nagar or vicinity).

Even though I have heard good things about the pre-schools in Kormangala, I think it is a little time-wise long commute for very young children.

Please post me your thoughts on this. I appreciate your honest comments. Thank you.

You might have faced lot of problems in India as u stayed in US for longtime i believe. India is India. I am going to settle in India only. I dont want US type life who dont the value of culture. More over i dont have expectations. Whatever it may we will adjust and we will stay happily.
Plz dont Blame India for everything.
