I delivered my baby in november and have been breastfeeding ever since...sometiems my baby doesnt accept brest..those time I pump...but i got my perios on feb 17...
is this normal? i m worried cause they say usually it takes a long time if we are breastfeeding.
Also this month i havent got my periods? so was wondering if they are irregular? and how longwill they take to regularise..please share ur experiences..
thanks.. jrmv replied. Its normal. i delivere a baby boy in nov and i got periods i January. After tht i haven' t till now. Doctor saya periods have come and it shows tht we r healthy. so be careful in havg relationship. take iron tablets regularly... Hetal replied. its normal.
its not necessary that breastfeeding moms have to be without periods all the time,,it dpends on individual body type and as to how itz able to come back to normal routine cycles...

you might get irregular periods depending on your health conditions from now on and may be after 3-4months they might get regular.
take your iron supplemnets, well,,eat healthy diet wiht lots of iron, vitamins and mineral or take your multivitamins regularly and it should help you gain good health.

sharing about experiences, i bf my first baby almost until 7.5months exclusivly,,but i got mine from 3rd month itself !! i was bf exclusivly..and they were regular from 3rdmonth after the delivery itself !!! not to mention i was able to keep up the supply until almost my toddler became 13-14months old...

if your body is healthy body and has adequte amts of iron and you are on healthy diet,,itz more likely that you will get your periods on and off and then they will get regular once your body is that state of well being...

the theory that bf mothers dont get periods is individual and doesnt actually mean that your supply will go down, or you will not gget pregnant...
