Name: Namit Jain
me and my wife have been trying for a baby for 2 years now. she had a history of urine infections evry now and then. both of us have been tested for explaining the infertility. My sperm count is ok, her uterus, ovaries, tubes everything is normal. But she cant ovulate naturally. After taking fertobid however, she was able to ovulate.
we had a miscarriage a year ago just 1 month after missed menses. thereafter, we have been visiting variuos doctors, but to no avail. Now, we are visitng Dr, Nirmala at Sant Parmanand hospital. Here, we got the test for tb also done, but it showed no infection. the doppler study showed mild notching in uterine arteries. she took monotrate for one month, but still that problem persists.
last cylce, she was given humog and hucog injections, and she made three nicely developed eggs, but she cudnt concieve.
now this month, doctor asked us to stop this procedure, and start taking medicine for tb for three months.
now we r confused that wat to do, as there is no direct evidence for tb. she had quantiferm gold test but it showed no infection.
please guide us.

M Kumar replied. Hi Namit,
I would advice you not to consult any doctor for conceiving if you have been successful once. Because most of the docs running fertility clinics are actually making money only. Have some more patience. Try to remain happy & calm and have faith in GOD for some more time.
Kavi replied. Hi Namit Jain, many ignore to do the Thyroid function test ( T3,T4,TSH,FT3,FT4) which plays a big role in fertility. Check whether you have ever done this test . Because females who have thyroid problem are found to be infertile and once the problem is treated, lot of chances are there to get pregnant. If you need more information on this testing, please let me know. Thanks.
DeccanIVF replied. We usually advise anti-tuberculous therapy only if the TMA-TB and TB-Culture test of the endometrium is positive.

sudha replied. hi all, anybody has idea about DR.LALITHA BHASKAR, manjunatha maternity home located at malleshwaram. what is the success rate for infertility
treatment
NAMI replied. i wud strongly suggest to hav a second opinion from dr.ramaraju of krishnaivf..as i faced similar situation gud luck
Deccan replied. Hi Namit,
It is advisable to get an endometrial biopsy done and send it for TMA-TB & TB Culture. If the result is negative, the anti-tubercular medicines can be avoided. If it is positive, the medicines should be taken for 6 months and the test repeated again after that.
s kumar replied. hi namit, first of all take advice from some other doc. may be the report of tb (TSH) is in upper side, thats why she had to for the medication for three months. also there is one test called antibody test. u ask ur doc or the next doc u visit that is it necessary to go for this test. i think better u go for 2nd opinion.

IVF via Donor Sperm
Hi, we are planning for ivf via donor sperm as we have genetic history wherein my daughter is ASD and mine own brother is ADHD hence genetic counselor said there is risk of 15-20 percent of child being autistic if we use our own gamet. If male child is born the risk is higher than a girl child.
Hence we thought to go for donor sperm. But there is still risk... - SS [View Message]
