My baby is 4 months old.. i have not habituated him to sleep in the cradle.. in the day time i make him sleep in the rocker and in the night i make him sleep on the bed. but i have noticed that his sleep during the day time has reduced in the day he sleeps only around 30 to 45 min after every 2 to 3 hrs.Although it does not seem like he has an incomplete sleep. but the moment i make him sleep in the cradle he sleeps for around two hours.. what should i do? should i habituate him to the cradle or not??? as once i habituate him to it i will have to cary the cradle wherever i go.... i am at my moms place right now and my in laws are strictly against using cradle... i dont understand what to do... please suggest me... Honestly, it does not matter. You should' nt be losing sleep over this. Its good if your baby sleeps in a cradle as you dont have to compromise on space in your own bed and most importantly dont have to worry about accidently turning over on to your baby' s arms etc.
If you make him sleep on the bed, make sure to put some pillows / bolsters snugly around him. Wrap a pillow in one of your night dresses and keep it next to him when you put him to sleep. He will sleep well.
If you keep him next to you its easy to breast feed but the problem that most mother' s face is that the baby gets used to this method of going to sleep which becomes a problem later on.

my kid is now apar from the cradle age but i never use cradle for her thinking what if she got habbitual to it but as i heard that cradel is a very big help ...might be ..but i didnot find very diificulty with out it either so it depends upon u also if u feel like then u can use it otherwise by my experience and as ur quetion its not VERY important .
