Hi everyone,

Soma replied. Its pretty normal. I just passed that phase. With the start of my 11th week, I' m feeling much better. I had to take medication to get through my morning sickness.
Just take plenty of rest and in few more weeks you' ll be back to normal again.
Take care
Sheetal replied. Hi Nidhi,
I felt the same too. I am now in my 12th or 13th week and I am telling you it gets better. My 7 to 10 weeks were really bad. I was like oh my god, is it going to be all the way like this? But trust me, it will get better. You just need to hang in there. A few more weeks and then you' ll be fine to enjoy your pregnancy.
Abt depression, its normal but you need to involve yourself in things you like. Read books or watever. Try not to have negative thoughts disturb your mind. Day dream!!!!
Take it easy and you' ll be fine.
Dolly replied. Hi Nidhi,
First of all, your name reminds me of a very very dear frnd whom i have recently lost to an accident. Whenever i hear or read this name somewhere, i feel as if it might still be her.
Anyways, i am sure u r as funloving as she was accept that u r suffering from all these wierd feelings at the moment just because of the pregnancy.
As far as cold is concerned, i have had the worst one of my life last week and it was so difficult for me to recover coz weather in Dubai is too cold and also raining. Believe me, i have to go to work on the contrarary no one including my husband is around at the moment. I had to go thru it all alone. They say the immune system is very low during pregnancy and if caught up with cold it does take lot of time to recover. Try taking steam with Eucalyptus oil, always dishcarge the mucous, never keep pulling it as it will make the condition only worst. If the nose bleeds (it did for me)immediately visit the gyneac, only take hte medicines on their prescription. I was on dose of Panadol cold and Flu. also if u do gte a nose block get a prescription for the drops, they are very effective and will give will peaceful sleep in the night.
Have hot milk and tea and obviously avoid having cold sutff.
Depression, well i can only say indulge urself in some activity. I too feel depressed at times coz i don' t have my husban around to share the feelings i go thru, whether happy ones or scary ones. I watch movies, read magazines nad books and as i am working my day passes by. Try to do soemthing on those lines, or take ip a creative course, learn and instrument, graphic designing, painting or even meditation techniques.
I never suffered Nausea (God' s grace), hence i can' t advice on that.
Take care and please be happy all the time, when u see ur baby next tiem in the ultrasound u will see it it' s all worth it!
God bless!
Malini replied. Hmmm....tell me about it nidhi, I' ve just completed my 12 weeks and I still vomiting and feeling dizzy towards evening. I suffered maximum from my 8 weeks onwards....on top of this I got to go to work and handle cold weather which went to 9 celcius..... what a miserable time am going through. I just sat and cry....as I couldn' t handle it. I' m not taking rice at all for the past 2 weeks I just take oats for my lunch, bread and biscuits for breakfast and dinner. Everyone telling it will stop slowly.... really looking forward for it.

it' s normal to go through all that you say you are going through.. the 1st trimester is quite difficult for most people and it' s difficult to enjoy your pregnancy at that time.. look at the brighter side.. you have only 5-6 wks more till you enter your 2nd trimester.. that' s when you will really enjoy your pregnancy coz all the symptoms you mentioned will completely disappear.. eat well, recover from your cold as quickly as you can with home remedies like steam inhalation, drink a lot of water especially warm water so you can get over your cold... and eat foods that you enjoy eating..
