Pallavi replied. I remember when I was a child. I would climb on tables sing aloud bollywood songs with utmost sincerity while playing games with the family. We would fly kites with the boys. My knees would be bruised half the time. Suddenly those bruises started occurring frequently and finally disappeared when I became very conscious of my feminity.

It was fun to be playing all afternoon during summer vacations and now I struggle for a nap. I would tell my mother about every little thing that happened in my life and some years down the line I needed privacy.

I would cuddle my grand mom and feel now no monster can harm me. Now I want my own space. My room, which is just mine. I can’t dream of sharing it with anyone. I remember the times when my grand dad would pick me up from school and I would eat up his head by asking so many questions. I would repeat the same things twice. But I get fed up of listening to the something he says a second time.

I would barge into my neighbours house for a second helping of a sweet meat. But now I make the most cautious moves that make me look. I don’t know how this works but as you grow there is so much spontaneity and love that you shed off.
Anil Mathur replied. There are so many times when my daughter Aditi makes me think. The best times are when she is fast asleep and smiling in her sleep. I feel the angels are tickling her. I can simply keep on watching her cherubic face.

Once she is awake she is the life of the house. It’s a pleasure to see her when she is lost in her building blocks. She is trying to make a tower and every time there is a new development she wants me to see it. Sometimes she keeps her tower as it is till I am back from office.

When we are out shopping and when she is tired, she can sleep in my arms without a worry about the world. My arms are enough for her as an assurance that she is secure. She teaches me to take a break when I am tired too.

She never worries when she laughs. Her gurgling laughter, chuckles and heart melting smile always show me what a smile can do to somebody. Laughing freely is such a wonderful thing.

When I am around her she demands all my attention. I would be worried if she didn’t give me any. I think aditi is the best thing that ever happened to me. She teaches me something small but important everyday.
Sairah replied. I think children are the best teachers. While my son sufiyaan was growing I think I literally experienced every step. He would just take away my stress. He would unknowingly give answers to my questions that would irritate me.

For me it was like watching a miracle when he began drawing, repeating what I said. He had so many questions and I would find answers to fit his queries.
He wanted to know everything. Why I was wearing a certain dress or why I was going to some place. Once I did not want to go for a wedding but was just going for the sake of it.

I was talking to myself and saying that I am in no mood to go for the wedding. Sufiyaan simply said,” don’t go mumma , we’ll play wedding at home if you want…’ I instantly realised why was I forcing myself to do something I do not like. I changed and took sufiyaan to the park. We had a blast playing Frisbee with jingo our pet dog.
