My daughter alo used to suck her thumb when she was abt 3 months old, though elders in the family adviced me to put mittens or smear nasty tasting stuff on her hand I didnt really do anything. She just got out of the habit by the time she was 6 months old

Your child has discovered has discovered his hand and wants to suck it. Babies this age have a strong urge to suck n when they discover their hands and feet ,they put it in their mouths. If you do not want him to make a habit ,give him a pacifier to soothe his sucking needs.

Hi Priya, Too much care spoils you r baby. Children do thumb sucking at certain age and do automatically come of it. Do not ever forcely remove thumb from your son' s mouth. Playfully remove it. Divert the concentration of your son by playing with your son' s hands and keep talking to him to divert his concentration of sucking thumb. As he attains the age of 4-5 months, handover toys to him so that he can handle them and play. These are some of the ways. All the best.

Sleep Problem due to itchy skin
My baby girl is unable to sleep properly due to skin rashes. I have resumed oil massages to help calm her down and facilitate better sleep, using CITTA Baby Massage Oil. Additionally, I am applying the ointment recommended by her doctor for the rashes. Could you please provide me with more ideas that can promote better sleep for her?... - Sanchari Tarafdar [View Message]

RE:How to Develop a Sleep Routine for your Newborn
According to me this is good but then you cannot force your child to sleep as per your wish as kids as really bad in this and they have a tendency to sleep in day and get up in late night so according to me this is not the key to success, please post if i am wrong.... - Anita [View Message]
