Iam from Sep 2007 Board. Got to see ur messages in this board. I am also from bangalore. Happy to see some of u also from Bangalore. Iam in my 18th Week and has a scan due in 20th Week. Hv heard that it is a major scan. Was so excited to read ur messages on Anamoly scan. But can u tell me what exactly is anamoly scan...Is it different from the normal one???

Also i have seen the \" Cradle\" bangalore. Not visited so far...Roops, just wanted to know if u r checking in Cradle always or u went there only for scan. Pls let me know. Also how abt Soumya & renu, Can u guys share with me the dr u guys are checking with...

Pls let me know the details ASAP so that i can decide where to go for the major scan, bcoz i want to enjoy that.

Hi Vidhu, Congratulations on your pregnancy..
Anamoly scan is usually done to find any birth defects in the baby (looks for major physical abnormalities).This is very different from the normal scan as they will note down the measurements/readings for various things like spine, head and other stuff to make sure that everythings fine.

Most of the places have 2D scan. There could be few places with 3D, i am not sure though. Cradle was the only place where they have 4D Scan in bangalore, so i went there...I am visiting a doc by name Asha Vijay who has her own clinic in Hanumanthnagar but she said that she would come to \" Cradle\" if i choose that for my delivery.

Cradle is little expensive in terms of their charges but if the maternity expenses are covered thru ur/ur spouse' s insurance then i think its the best place to be in..

Even I am showing to Cradle itself. Dr is Saraswathi Ramesh. But I will be going to Belgaum for my delivery.
