Milestones:Physical Activities

Hi,

I have a daughter who is 10 months old. She weighs around 9 kgs. The problem is that
She does not crawl, sit or stand. She only turns around and rolls on the floor to reach out to things. At times once or twice she tries to push her body forward if i keep anything that fascinate her, but after trying it twice, she finds it tiring and she just rolls around to reach the object. She smiles, shakes her head and makes some noise too in her own way to express her happiness or if she is sad.

I understand that each child is unique and hence have been kind of patient to see how she develops, but would like to know if there is something that i should be doing to promote her physical activities.

Thanks
Sandhya

sandhya,

Just stay cool. My son too has just stepped into his 9th month, has just started sitting without support. Our pedtn advised us to train him to sit. So we used to make him sit on a 3corner of the house or on the bed with pillows around. Slowly he has started sitting without support. But he doesnt sit on his on,we have to make him sit. He started swimming last week.
I would say give some exercise to your little one. Give some toys and make her grab them from your hand. Strengthen her hands by helping her to use it more often.

Just dont worry.

hello jayashree
dont get afraid and dont loose hopes, your son is absolutely fine, and give him the proper tuition and avoid more playing periods of his, and you should teach him at home when you will get free time.... - praglabh [View Message]
