Hi Hana & Tweetie

Thanks for the message, I feel okay now that 4.5 kg is okay for a 3monthold
Actually I have been exclusively Breast feeding her, but , since 3 days Im in the office
my mom is taking care of her, she is on lactogen now and also she started her cerelac
also which she seems to like , Im hoping she will put on some weight :)

Have you started taking your kids out like for shopping / restaurant
the last time I had taken her to attend my cousin marriage we had to hurry back
in 30min as she did not like the place/crowd , today my mom had to attend a family lunch
she was at her best behaviour and did not trouble my mom even a bit.

okay mamas please keep in touch coz I feel its wonderful being on this board

Regards
Usha

Hi Usha,

My daughter Aalia is growing well and I don't stress to much about her weight as long as she feeds well. My mum used to stress a lot about my weight when I was young and fed me lots of tonics to make me fat but nothing helped 'thank god.'

I am not planning to introduce solids until 6 months, she is exclusively BF.

I started taking Aalia out from the 3rd week after her birth and she was mostly sleeping so it wasn't so bad, only thing is BF in public which I still find awkward. If we go to someone's house then it is ok since I can go into a room.

We have stopped going to restaurants though because both the kids frustrate us and we end up not relaxing or enjoying our meal. We have decided to go out once a month for dinner and a movie at night and have my nanny sleep over to take care of the kids.

That way we get some time to be a couple and relax.

Take care and love to Neeharika.

Hi Usha,

Neeharika will grow to a nice healthy child don't worry, my parents used to worry a lot about me, but now are glad that I am not too much on the heavier side.
I haven't started solids for Santhosh, planning to be on exclusive BM for 6 months hopefully...He's got milk protein allergy, so it makes it difficult to try formula or solids.

Regarding excema, I was advised to go easy on soaps, I use a very sensitive liquid soap called Aquaphor, and use olive oil for his massage. Also use Eucerin lotion which is also for very sensitive skin. I don't think it is good to use powder on babies since the poder dust have high chances of causing allergies/asthma in babies, so doctors strictly are against it over here. Anyway I know my parents used powder on me...I used to have wheezing...don't know if that was the cause or general dust, but for Santhosh I have refrained form powder.
I use Vaseline for his bottom, so that his skin won't get affeced by the daipers.

Take Care,
Tweetie
