My child of 7 months was suffering from fever from Friday evening and on that night we gave him Metacin syrup of 2.5 ml and continued it till Saturday evening and. We consulted a paediatric doctor that and he prescribed Metacin syrup and Meftal –P syrup. He told us to give metacin first six hourly daily and if the temperature does not come down to give meftal p eight hourly. But as we could not understand him well, we gave our baby both the syrups daily simultaneously for two and half days. On Tuesday evening we phoned to doctor and he scolded us for giving that much dose and asked us to stop giving. Our baby has been alright though a little weak and tired. But Wednesday morning after 10 in the morning there have been rashes on his body suddenly and we are in fear as to what could be the reason and what could be the side effects of the ovedose of the syrups and what could be the reason for the rashes and he is due for HIB II vaccination on Wednesday evening! Please advice.

So do you have an idea why does this medicine would be given to kids.Because by giving it repeatedly also may effect the baby health also.

Who had suggested you with that medicine and how could take that with out any consultation because it would effect the health status only know.

Why do you give medicine for kid that too in high dosage because medicine are also working in reverse manner.So better try to avoid chemical medicines and try to give ayurvedic.

Yes before taking any medicine you need to complete information of the medicine.So consulting to doctor and then getting treatment is good for you only.

According to my knowledge it must be better not to give more anti biotics for kids because i think it may effect the immunity and you have to give medicine in minimum quantity only.

So can you say what would be the medicine you have taken can you say about that also because medicine is not taken so repeatedly with out any doctor consultation also so i hope you would take that after consulting to doctor only.

Why would you take in an ovedose can you say about that because it is not so good for health and it even affects your health also so before taking any medicine take it properly also that is better for all.
