Medication Effect on Foetus:Medication for heartburn

I am in my 5 th month now and the last ultrasound says everthing is fine with my baby. But in my first few month I was suffering fro extreme nausea and vomitting. To fight the resultant acidity and heartburn I took 2 Acikoc 150mg per day for a couple od weeks after consulting a family friend (who also also happens to be an obstetrician). Does anybody know if that has any negative effect on my baby? Please reply soon.

Nilanjana,
there is nothing to worry at this stage. You have got your Ultrasound indicating well being of fetus. Also you consulted OB so why a question and concern. Make sure any medication in future you need to use, consult your OB/GYN who knows your preg. better.

Thanks Archie. Your reply has ben really comforting. Am trying on similar lines. Only that the acidity and the heartburn just does not seem to go away. It gets so difficult especially because I am working long hours! :-)
