Medication Effect on Foetus:Need Help Regarding Progesterone during first trimester

Hello. I am Tanaya, 29 of years weight 66kgs height 5'4" . I miscarried in 2017 during 9-10 weeks. Recently i am positive with my pregnancy. Its been 10 weeks . I had a ultrasound last week it showed 'gravid uterus containing single live fetal pole of 8 weeks 4 days maturity with good decidual reaction' . Doctor asked me to come with some routine blood checkups. My Thyroid level is -2.2 mIU/ml , Random Blood Sugar- 127 , Hemoglobin-11.96 . I am having cramp or pain in my lower abdomens sometimes in upper abdomen.My Doctor has prescribed me oral progesterone pill every night. But I have heard progesterone can't prevent a misscarry sometimes it can even delay a misscarry. Right now I am having White vaginal discharge sometimes it feels burning sensation during urination.Doctor told that it is due to yeast infection. My concern is that having a pill every night of progesterone is relevant or not ?
