How r u? Me is fine now but i had my appointment with my obgyn on wednesday ..she did the internal exam and told that my cervix was little further dialated it was in between 3 to 4 cms...and she was like the progress is slow and everything lookls fine..But the same day afternoon i had a few contractions close by was very pain ful and i was feeling very uncomfortable with little painn in the lower abdomen so i told her the same and she said lets moniter the contractions ...she did the monitring and i was getting contractions close by very painful...she adviced me to get admitted in the hospital and if these contractions continued my pregnancy wudnt last till next week...any ways after i got admitted the gave me 3 shots of TERBUTALINE with a gap of 20 minutes and that really helped teh contractions from coming..after that i was again on pill every 4 hrs and did'nt have any strong contractions the whole night and next day my cervix also dint change so she asked me to go home...it was so terrible because im still 33 weeks and if something wud happen i wudnt deliver in the same hospital i wd have been sent to childerens hospital BOSTON that far away frm my place..and if i had my baby there they wud have kept her there itself..that wud have been the tough part..

thank god the contractions stopped and im still on rest she said if it wud hang for 4 more days it wud be nice because i will deliver in my registered hospital..

As i told u last time that the fundal height was 28 and this appointment it was 31 so i guess within one week there was some change..

what do u say Archie..so we r hoping that this baby will stay inside for another 15 days..

lets hope you do continue to carry baby for 2 more weeks in uterus and not deliver.

If required you might have to go for Terbutaline dose again. Do not ignore contraction since you are 4cms already.

Pridu from August 2005 board was dilated 4cms and was home without trouble. On her next visit she was 6cms and admitted, by the way she was found dilated when baby was full term. This case I am referring because she carried baby with dilation without getting herself in to labor, but she also did not feel those contractions and that's the big difference we have to account in these two cases.

I would hope for having this baby full term while arriving to real world.
