Due Date Club December 2005:low lying placenta- ammy & greeshma
2005-09-12
Name: Deepti Trisal

Hello Ammy and Greeshma,

Even i was detected with low lying placenta around the week15 scan. And doctor adviseed me to take precautions while lifting weights and bending and all...At that point it was some 1.2 mm from cervix. My last scan at 27 weeks showed the placenta at 3.75mm from cervix...my doc said its okay, by the time of next scan at week 32, she expected it to move further up and be okay.

What abt you girls?
Regards,
Deepti.

Hi Deepti,

My doc has asked me to take complete bed rest as I had spotting and the 24 weeks scan showed that I had marginal hematoma. I have to meet her again on 20th and do another scan to check the placenta position. Now am just waiting to see the result of the scan. I would advice you to not exert yourself and take rest whenever possible. I am sure your placenta will move further up by the time of your next scan, nothing to worry as long as there is no bleeding. Do keep us posted.

Take care
Greeshma

Hi Deepti,
How are you and How's your little one doing? I am fine. I am going to meet my Gync today. So expecting some good news from her that everything now is fine. 15 days back when she did the checking she said that the difference between the Placenta and the cervix is above 2mm. So need to check this time.. Will update about the appointment tommorrow.

take care...

Very good doctor
Hi,

I delived a baby boy in March 2009. I consulted Dr.Chitra Ramamurthy during my pregnancy cycle. She' s one of the best doctors in Bangalore. Not many people know about her. She handled the entire process in a very professional manner. I used to visit her clinic in Jayanagar 3rd block. She is very caring and affable. She says what to do and what not to do. ... - Sandhya Rao [View Message]

So long as your baby is feeding, that' s all that really matters. These days, formulas are packed with everything the baby needs, and although it is never as good as breast milk, it' s perfectly fine. It sounds like maybe what you are missing is the bonding that breast feeding provides? My first child had both breast and bottle milk for the first 6 months, when I had a mis... - Jhumri [View Message]
