Is there any problem if you feed your kid with rice after 9' o clock?I have heard it is not good for kids to have rice late night.

Our greatest concern is about his weight. He is one and half year old now.But his weight is just 8.2kg.Can anybody suggest a suitable diet for him.He is allergic to milk...even soyamilk.

This is how i feed him:

1.Morning 8.30 (1 nd half idly with 1 cup sambar)
2.Brunch (kerala banana 3/4)
3.Lunch (Rice with dal or vegetables
fried in oil-carrot and beans)
4.Evening (ragi soup)
5.Night (Rice with some curry nd pappad)
He gets up 2 times to drink BM.

Regards,
Devy.

hi devy,
here are some suggestions .but i dont know how old is ur baby.

1.Morning 8.30 (1 nd half idly with 1 cup sambar)u can add whole wheat toast(half or full),muffin, boiled potato

2.Brunch (kerala banana 3/4)add some more fruits like apple if ur baby can eat rawthen ok other wise steam ltl bit it can make it soft, orange, pear, kiwi try changing fruits periodically but test for allergy.

3.Lunch (Rice with dal or vegetables
fried in oil-carrot and beans) try adding curd in lunch some ppl hesitate giving curd to kids becoz of its cold nature but lunch time is the safest time for giving curd .u can add very very soft roti in watery dal, daliya with diff vegeis, dosa diiped in sambhar or dal, sujikheer.

4.Evening (ragi soup)can give juices(citrus like orange ,mousabhi, also ,tomaota soup ,sometimes other vegetable soups

5.Night (Rice with some curry nd pappad)sometimes u can replace rice with daliya or khichadi.

bye
best of luck.

Hi Devy

There is no problem with feeding rice in the night also. I give my daughter curd rice too. What i can suggest is to give him a slice of cheese during the day. In the afternoon lunch, mix a little butter or ghee as per taste. Let me know if this helps.

Sleep Problem due to itchy skin
My baby girl is unable to sleep properly due to skin rashes. I have resumed oil massages to help calm her down and facilitate better sleep, using CITTA Baby Massage Oil. Additionally, I am applying the ointment recommended by her doctor for the rashes. Could you please provide me with more ideas that can promote better sleep for her?... - Sanchari Tarafdar [View Message]

RE:How to Develop a Sleep Routine for your Newborn
According to me this is good but then you cannot force your child to sleep as per your wish as kids as really bad in this and they have a tendency to sleep in day and get up in late night so according to me this is not the key to success, please post if i am wrong.... - Anita [View Message]
