Hi Srijanee.
Try this method for making her sleep. It worked for me.
Take a cloth like a duppatta or sheet and make a swing of it.Hold one side urself and give the other side to some other person.Give her a swing slowly for some time and u will find the baby asleep.

All th best.

Hi Srijanee,

I was sailing in your ship some months back, i too had a same problem with my daughter, Tvishi, who is now 4.5 months old. Even Tvishi slept for 3 - 4 hours in the 24 hour' s time. But do not worry, some babies do so. Only thing you need to note is - if the baby is active, nothing to worry, just feed him time to time. Infact my baby used to cry a lot in the first three months.
Also note - whenever you feed, feed him fully. Generally kids finish the milk in one breast in about 15 - 20 min. Do not let him sleep when he is fed. Also maintain the time gap between 2 feeds, like an hour or two. Do not feed every half an hour..your kid will get used to this and will not have stomach full at one time. Do not take give any medication for cold (unless its on the severe side), just dry him properly after bath, give him sambrani smoke (dhoop in hindi) and you eat ajwain twice a day, automatically the cold would recover.Try not to expose him to cold weather.
VERY IMP : Please check if you are having enough milk to feed your baby. If he cries immediately after feeding, your milk may not be sufficient, please ask the doctor if you can start LACTOGEN 1 or NAN 1. Otherwise your baby would not put on weight..i have gone thru what you are facing now, hence advising

Sleep Problem due to itchy skin
My baby girl is unable to sleep properly due to skin rashes. I have resumed oil massages to help calm her down and facilitate better sleep, using CITTA Baby Massage Oil. Additionally, I am applying the ointment recommended by her doctor for the rashes. Could you please provide me with more ideas that can promote better sleep for her?... - Sanchari Tarafdar [View Message]

RE:How to Develop a Sleep Routine for your Newborn
According to me this is good but then you cannot force your child to sleep as per your wish as kids as really bad in this and they have a tendency to sleep in day and get up in late night so according to me this is not the key to success, please post if i am wrong.... - Anita [View Message]
