Hello to all!

I got my divorce last year after a long fierce battle...have a cute 5 year old daughter whose permanent custody is now with me.(my ex-husband has visiting rights tho'). Looking for some single parents as we all will share the same situations in different forms sometime in our lives. So let us share our views and get to know one another. I saw a message from positive and chanda and ?:-) and would love to hear from them as well!

Hi,I am positive writing from Delhi. I wrote some time back also but did not get a response. I am also divorced, got in on mUtual consent basis, my ex does not have visitation rights. its been two full years now that i am living with my mom. I am vishakha,going through divorce.I also have 2.5 year old daughter.I also beleive completely what sanya is saying it's better to have in complete but happy family than complete than miserable family.
But tell me how did you cope up with your daughter when your ex-hubby visits her,isn't it traumatic for her,cause my little one had lived wwith her father for 2 years.I nitially it was very difiicult to cope with emotional querys. buteven he has not met her since last 6 months so she kindly trying to adjust with all this.with the help of my parents and siblings.
Yet i have no idea what will i'll do when she will see him now.it's kindly going to be very traumatic situation for her that is what i personally feel. cause till now like me she also faced the situation like me without showing any tears in her eyes showing happy face .sometimes she do ask about him but she tries to forget him also.i tell u i cant see allthis .
share me your experience if you cant share in detail here then i can give you my mail id .cause even i want toknow about court proceedings.

i am Ruta ,going through a similar situation.i am in the midlle of mutually agreed divorce.i have a 1 yr old daughter and got separated since my daughter was born.
i am 26 yr old Engg and have recently got a job. my mother and father r taking care of my daughter.
(My husband has visiting rights).but hasn't come to see us yet.

Nice to see ur positive attitude to life after having gone thru a rather difficult phase. Pretty much the same thing that have gone through. Had been living separately for 3.5 yrs already (just 6 months after my daughter was born) & finally got a divorce this february. My kid is now 4 yrs old. Its been a challenge navigating life the last 3 years & I guess will continue to be the same. But now with the \";footloose & fancy free\"; status, feel I have never been happier! Its much easier taking care of the kid without the stress & unwanted emotional baggages. We do miss having a complete family, but its better to have an incomplete but HAPPY family thab a complete but miserable family!! Mark replied. I am Mark, Indian /Male/ working in Dubai last 8 years, I am a single parent for my 10 years old daughter & I am taking care of my daughter by facing lots of internal as well as external problems. You can imagine how difficult is bringing up a small kid in foreign country like UAE. I read all the problems and issues of single parenting. b coz I am experiencing that. Any one want to discuss their problems regarding single parenting, or husband and wife separation issue i am ready to join with them to find good solutions. Me and my wife separated almost 8 years back ,In that time every one said Father can not take care of baby girl , I took that challenge and she is now 10 years old. I didn’t tried to get marry also. I used to read lots of issue here, I wish to get involve and find some solutions for them. For that any one can contact me. thru email.
