Hope all are doing fine. I just came from my 16 week second trimester check-up. Well, there was nothing much than urine test, blood test and listening to baby' s heart beat.
But I did gain 3.5pounds in 4weeks and doc was happy about it. I asked him about groin pain that I was having yesterday. Especially when I stand or walk. He said nothing to worry about, its all part of ligemants streching. Also, a liitle tightening pain around belly button which is also b' coz of uterus streching. Eventhough I am second time mom, I kind of forgot what it was like :)
So girls, if you face any of these, don' t get scared. Its all part of good pregnancy progress. I do remember that if you put some ghee around the belly and massage slowly in circular way will give some relief.
So thats me. My next apt is Sep 17th for ultrasound. Yey! now it feels good to be pregnant :)

Doctors have not suggested 16 week scan for me but did it in week 13. I could see the baby' s limbs and could see its movement.

Now I am in week 16 and was so happy to read about the pain. I was planning to visit the doctor today, due to this pain in groin and near belly button. I think I can wait after reading this mail :)!

I had my blood tests done for normal blood count, hemo and urine test. I think its called ANC profile. I also did a tripple test to find if any abnormilities are there in baby.

Now I am due for the big 3D Scan in October 2nd week (19th Week). My hubby wont be there but hoping that I will get a CD cut and he can see our baby once he returns!

I had my 16 week scan too. Got the glimpse of the little one. AFP test results are normal, which is a big relief.
The big anatomy scan is scheduled on Sept-6th. I haven' t been able to feel the movements yet.(Waiting for the THE DAY). Have gained 3 pounds in last 4 weeks. Some pains now & then, sharp stabbing pain in back & below my ribs too on the right side. Doctor said its normal.
Deepa I am not sure what bloodwork you had is AFP. Its better to confirm with your doctor.

I did my USG 2day, and the doc showed me my baby. It was reallly exciting.Even i am experiencing a pain roung my belly. Maybe as u said - streching of the uterus. Hw much i felt the urge to knw the sex of the baby, but alas have to wait .
