Vegetarian Food:How to Reduce Salt in curries - Need Tips

Hi,
I have the bad habbit of putting more salt in curries sometimes.
Can anyone tell me some tips for reducing the salt in curries without sopiling the recipe ???

Subject:  Try this method



U can take a small round ball of the wheat dough you make for chappathis and drop it inside the curry.And remove it while serving.It worked for me once.Wait for 2 minutes for the salt taste to reduce.

Hi
Try this tip. Cut an onion in 2 pieces and place one on top of the curry for few mins . i have heard that it absorbs the salt.
Fortunately I have not yet got the oppurtunity to try this one.
Pls try and let me also know abt the results.

try cornflour+water paste. It thickens as well as reduces salt.

Salt to kabhi kabhi jada ho jata hai ... ask hubby to adjust with potatoes once a while :)

btw, potatoes is the age old best choice to reduce salt in curries.

Optionally, u can look at Tips section on sanjeevkapoor or tarladalal site. they are experts and definitely include such tips.
