Hetal, my son is 17months old. i follow your diet chart and my ped was very happy to see 1kg weight gain. i want to thank you for being so kind to all moms here.
today i had to post the query reg my son sleeping habit.he used to sleep very nicely until now. but lately he wakes up at night and wants me to rock him. i get tired after taking care of my old inlaws.
as soon as i come and sleep on bed, he will sit and cry to lift him.
if i ignore him and don't pick him, he will cry so loudly as if he misses breath.
i have inlaws living wid me. if their sleep is disturbed, they will eat my head whole day. i don't know what to do, please reply me.
i have tried massaging him, reading books, he eats well and there is no other health problems.he is waking up past 5 days every 3-4hours and cries badly.he is not having any gas problem, his temperature, bowels and sleeping schedules are also same. he has all his teeth except for sharp teeths and premolars.his gums are red and swollen since so many weeks but there is no sign of teething on them. prev during teething, his gums used to get red and swollen for 3-4days and in one week he will have white line coming out.can this be the reason ? if so how long this will go on.
i tried giving him tylnol but it doesn't work.
he still wakesup. i took him to ped, he said everything is normal. my mil says that he is having bad dreams and some evil is after him.
so she wants to do some kali mirch smoke in my room to remove evil.itz so irritating.
iz it possible for such a young kid to have bad dream ?
until now he didn't hav bad dreams ?
what could be the reason of waking up and crying so loudly. please help me.
tired and worried mom.

hikavitha,
about kali mirch smoke
first of all when ever anybody do this nazar utarna process nobody take that smoke near to the baby..well i dont know how ur mther in law do it .
how i and many of my frnds and relatives do is they take any mirch either dry red or as u said black pepper some mustard seedsand ltl salt wrap it in a paper go to the baby and touch the head of baby and come down then touch the foot of baby keepsaying names of everybody slowly slowly and when all names finish
we simply go to the kitchen on the burner put that whole thing on that burner and burn it. we are not going to take that and roam in full house.
so no question of choking bay as we do burning process in kitchen and the baby remains in our bed room.

so i m not at all suggesting anything wrong

and for u also i said let ur MIL do wat she wants just becoz all mother in laws are more experince then us.

hope my point regarding choking babies is clear.
bye

thats the point ruchika ! if there is some pain that is bothering my baby, i want to know about it.i am interested in knowing that if teething pain has anything to do with stomach pain. that is why i asked you.

you know that smoke can choke any baby then why are you advicing these kind of things. i also saw your other posts, you are advicing only based on your personal experience and not because you know reasons behind it.
thanks for sharing your personal experience.

see it may be possible or may not be possible to get scared in night while sleeping but if he is waking everyday that means the problem is something else and as u said that everything is ok no gas problem ,bowel movements and sleeping schedule

then his molars are cutting now becoz they are big teeth in (moti language)

see the things in this way when our wisdom tooth start coming out it creats somuch of pain and does not come out at once

same with kids so may be his molars are coming out
u can apply honey and scrub it ltl on gums .

and if ur mil wants to do something lets her do that also it wont cause any problem basically all she wants to do is the procedure of\" Nazar utarna\" .

how much he sleeps in day??

kali mirch smoke will not only choke my baby but also give tear in his eyes.
i live in US and i have fire alarm and smoke detector in my house. if smoke starts to come, the smoke detector will make hell lot of noise.

can you please explain me what has wisdom tooth to do with pain in stomach. my son is not having any pain in stomach. he plays well, he eats well and his stools itz only his sleep is getting disturbed.he used to sleep 3hours in noon and at that time he used to sleep nicely. itz only his night sleep is getting disturbed nowadays.
thanks for your suggestions.

My baby girl is unable to sleep properly due to skin rashes. I have resumed oil massages to help calm her down and facilitate better sleep, using CITTA Baby Massage Oil. Additionally, I am applying the ointment recommended by her doctor for the rashes. RE:How to Develop a Sleep Routine for your Newborn
According to me this is good but then you cannot force your child to sleep as per your wish as kids as really bad in this and they have a tendency to sleep in day and get up in late night so according to me this is not the key to success, please post if i am wrong.... - Anita [View Message]
