I am travelling to canada for 10days and my child is 8 months old .i need all of yoru advise that what should i cary with myself as we are going to saty in the hotel.i mean to say what can i give him to eat there as here i am giving him all home made pureed veggies /fruits....how i will manage there?also for travel what should i keep as it is long journey and it will take 18hrs from here.....also i am applying milk ,turmeric,yogurt etc there i will not have chace to apply wjat should i do?I am quite woorreid.will he make me mad during travel as he is very very naughty and active baby..........

Hetal replied. most of the shops or brands are same in canada or in US,as to my knowledge, esp if you are going in toranto and south canada, and near niagra falls..so dont take much tihings with you, unless they arent available there..check on google dot local dot com for local listings of groceries available there, and pharmacy available there..
take things like tylnol,mylicon,motrin,thermometer,nailcutter,a lil scissors(all in luggage), alcohol wipes for ne wounds or cuts, if at all happens, a good moisturiser, baby creme,anti rash creme, 100% petroleum jelly,baby shampoo,neosporin,and 1 icepack.most of these are available in ne stores in small travel packs..
if your baby is on ne medication,take precription and mediine both,,take vaccination records,,for ne emergencies,,do some homework on where you are going like groceries,hospital and about your insurance covering that hospitals,or nearest walk in clinics,first aid clinics..
since its 18hours, is it by flight or by drive.i assume its by drive ,,if so, and if you are giving homemade pureed veggies,make them fresh and pack them in little double zippered quart ziplocks,,take cooler with you, and put those in them with good ice in it..it will stay until you travel there,,once you reach there, put it in hotel refrigerator....if your hotel has a kitchen,,just take the food needed for 2-3days,,and hotels like homestead and its partners has kitchens,,,,if so, jst take your little cooker and spices that you are giving your baby..vegetables are available almost everywhere now esp in foreign countries,where tourist stays for months, and no one likes to eat outside foods all the times for months together....
homestead, and couple other hotels give utensils too...check for good listings on hotels dot com or even contact them directly for ne special discounted prices.
at trips, just bathe your baby with plain water with ne mild soap that you are using,if you are lazy like me and dont want to take baby soap with you.dove is great soap, available everywhere ! babies are safe with it, one goes for whole family.
and best thing to do is, as soon as you land there, ask local people like hotelmanager, about things around..nothin is better than personal advices from people staying there.!

thats all comes to my mind as of now..
try to eliminate tiny things that are available in US and surrounding countries,& now major cities of india too,it will reduce your luggage.
