Due Date Club February 2005:Brest Feeding Problem

Hi all Feb mom and Archie

My little one came on 24rth Feb She is doing fine except that she sleeps for 5-6 hrs, and after that when she wakes up she cries a lot because of hunger and even if i give her my feed she still feels hungary and i have to give her lactogen. She drinks almost 15-20 spoon and then again sleeps for 5-6 hrs, sometimes even full night she wont wake up even if i try a lot to wake her up.

I read that baby should drink milk at 2-3hrs interval and i should not give her outside milk. i dont know what to do. I think she is not able to suck properly and at a time she needs lot of milk which my body is not able to produce at a time.

Is this normal ? what should i do ? should i continue giving her lactogen ? how to increase my milk ?

pls help me. Her wt was 2.6 kgs but now it reduced to 2.3 kgs.

take care all
Juhi
