hi all,

Is anyone still taking pain killers. I have delivered 1 week back and i still need to take pain killer atleast once a day. My bottom on left is little sore. I think its the pain from the stitches. I take Ibuprofen once a day. This was also given to me in hospital

how much time do these stitches take to heal?

Hi,

I had a normal delivery with 3rd degree tear and pisiotomy. I took pain killers for about 5 weeks and prescription pain killer for the first 3 weeks. It took me total 6 weeks to recover.

Dear Newmom

I delivered 2 weeks back - ceasaerian.

while in hospital i was given painkiller twice a day on hips and was also on antibiotics.

though my stitches are dissolvable, my doc has advised to take combiflam thrice a day which is a mild pain killer.

i got stitches at both places- down and on tummy. the stitches have not yet healed after 14 days. so i guess it takes time for them to heal.

so me too taking pain kilers.

dont worry and enjoy.
