You want to stop breastfeeding altogether if you have the time in the evening take your child for a walk that is excercise he/she will ask for food give the regular food and try to keep your baby away from you as long as possible so slowly the child adapts to normal food the more small children play during the day they will sleep soundly at night
supriyasanoj replied. Hey Madhavi...i too have a daughter 15 months old and i am trying to wean her.try this method too because it worked with my son and now for my daughter.right about bedtime give them warm milk and rock them to sleep.keep luke warm milk nearby your bed in a flask.and a filler or medicine dropper which can hold atleast 2 tespoons of liquid.
when your baby gets up for milk then take milk in the filler and slowly give them, within 2 to 4 fillers they will again go to sleep.and after 3 or 4 days if you dont breastfeed her she will forget it.
it was just my suggestion as it worked with my kids.you too just try it.take care.
Hetal replied. check these out,,and it has many many ideas,,see which one works for you :
other than these,,make sure your child gets enough meals thru out the day,,,sometimes if the child is quite contended with full days activities, meals, and good liquid intakes,,his chances of getting up at night or asking for feeds,,down the line decreases !
hope this helps!
Monica replied. Hi Madhvi,
Well, it is advisable to continue breastfeeding her for another 3 to 9 months. This will make her healthier. Hope U are also supplementing her nutrition other than breast milk. She does not know that U are a working woman. So, do not try her to give up BF suddenly. Do U know it is also a natural contraceptive? Will be beneficial for U & your hubby. Hwr, after 3 months, when winter will be over, sleep with open bosom along with your baby with nipple in her mouth. So even if she wakes up she won't cry and disturb your sleep. After 20-21 months, if her practice during the night does not change, try any of these: (A) use a manual suction pump to suck all the milk from the breast just before sleeping and give your nipple in her mouth; (B) if a suction device is not available, ask your hubby to suck all the milk from both the breasts (hope he won't mind doing this!); (C) wet clean your nipples, dry it with a soft & clean napkin and apply real honey on both. Then sleep with baby keeping the bosom open. Since she is not accustomed to the taste of honey on your nipples, she will tend to avoid sucking breast. But do not apply honey regularly (C). Just try this on alternate days or once in 3 days with (A) or (B). Since U are living in a nuclear family, it will be very easy for U to try out all these. Her habit won't last for beyond her 2nd B-day.
Best Luck with good night's sleep!

RE:Adult breast feeding
I was not breastfeed in my childhood hence the idea of sucking and feeding from a woman's full, engorged breasts has infatuated me. It is a fantasy that drives me wild like nothing else, just the thought of laying my head in a woman's lap while she brings her swollen nipples to my mouth.
