my son who has turned 8 monhs now is doing some different things.he slaps with both of his hands to hmself near cheeks and forehead.something is it realtec to ear infection as i am very much worried.because while give him bath some water i think goes inside the era till now he has no problem of ear infection>what can be teh cause of this acitvity.he is active abbay.pls reply me as soon as u can......

this acitivity doesnt seem to be a sign of earinfection, bt could be a symptom of it. kids do headache after or befor the ear infection occurs. most kids have also shown this as a sign of pain in gums and because of that headache..since they cant express this is all they show.
check on these things-
anyfever or so,putting his finger inside his ears and as if trying to move it round,,crying holding his ears,,stuffy nose with wet mucus/cold and headache related to it.
if not,
check for his colour of gums/pinkish or are they swollen,,then its coz of teething...try giving him tylnol.tylnol will give temp relief from pain of teething and earinfections.atleast it will not make earinfection go worst,until you are able to see your dr.

also note about the number of times and what time of day he is acting like that..
if the number of times is very often, and more,its obvious he needs to see dr asap.
