Hi All,
This is my first post here after a long time. Last time i posted something was in 2005 when i was expecting my son...
I am expecting again and was very excited till my blood test results came in and doc says i am hepatitis b positive..and he didnt give me much info yet . He wants me to do an U/S first to make sure all is well. I have my u/s today..and am praying that everything should be fine.
I never imagined that such a disease would show up on my blood work...and the risk of my kid getting it and it can be spreadable too i guess...
I am so tensed..can anyone give me any info on this....My due date is still not been calculated..it could be around in oct. I am around 6 weeks now..

Subject:  you should question your doctor



hep b can be transmitted through infected needles,sex,blood transfusion and intrauterine. the percentage of transmission intruterine is small but is possible. question your doctor whether to continue pregnancy, you have to meet gastroenterologist in your city and plan treatment for your hep b status.
