Hello everyone,
My baby's turning one in next month and we are planning on doing homam on 22nd of this month at temple.
My worry is what if I get my periods. As you all know this homam should be done on that day only as the birth star comes on that day.

My question is what should I do if I get my periods, a couple of days before the pooja. My date is around the 20th each month. If I get it on say 20th, Can I go to temple after taking head bath on the 22nd (which is 3rd day). Some say (including my MIL) it's ok, 3rd day after head(oil) bath you can go to temple and it shouldn't be a problem. But I personally haven't gone like that before. But I still didn't want to miss my baby's first yr. homam as well. I am confused.

PLEASE , please advice. Give me all your suggestions ASAP.

I have suggestion here in one was suman is right if u do excersiceu get periods but in excersice u better do skipping u will get u r periods because i was experienced by skipping...it was in my issue i not sure abt other try it once it may help u........ What is important is what u feel for God from within. I assume u r educated, so just grow up a little, dont give importance to head and oil baths! i feel it all depends on what u believe. i go to temples and pray and touch GOD though its said at my place also. I believe its given by GOD and we all are made from it so how can we treat it like that.These were all old traditions to make feel women that she is less than a man...
I dont wont to ompose my belief on you as every one has his/her own beliefs..
But if you want to take my suggestion , dont think about it and enjoy ur baby's pooja even if u have periods...GOD is great...i dont think he can punish anyone on this...I have been praying daily and do pooja daily since 3 years even at that time of my periods but my elders dont do it...
so, its upto u...and if u still dont want to pray at that time , u can consult any gayne doc, she can give u some tablets for delaying ur periods...
do whatever makes u happy.
