Hi,

1.I've a 8 year old son who is studied upto 1st std. in India but doing second standrad now here in USA due to age restrictions etc., he used to be one of the bright students in India .We are wooried how to get an admission in a good school in TamilNadu ( State Board). My hubby might go back to their Chennai or Coimbatore office after the expiry of his tenure here ( we plan to setlle in Coimbatore preferably). Is there any written test procedures to get an admission to schools in TamilNadu. We are from Himachal and no idea about Chennai or Coimbatore schools. He has to go to Third standrad as per his age.

2. Second daughter is 5.5 years old but going to kinder garden this year. Next year when we return we might have to put her in II and standard as per Indian academic year. Both of them Indian citizens like us born in india. Same any rules and written test model papers available.
It will be highly appreciated if anyone can scan and send us the syllabus and books recommended for them to read so that when we return to T.Nadu they get a head start in studies.
