Hi,
I am a single parent living in south delhi. got separated from husband when my daughter was three. now she is six and goes to school. but misses on friends a lot. there aren't any in the locality where i live. i am looking for other single moms with children, preferably girls, with whom i could also become friends and my daughter with theirs, so that my girl does not feel lonely in this world! children she could call over to her place and play and grow up as a healthy individual. I have noticed that woman with husbands and full back up, don't really relish the idea of a divorcee with a child making friends with themselves. they are polite but keep you away. thought sharing is also difficult. so may be some one who has been through pain in life could be a better option!

I have a 4 yr old girl. have not really faced a situation like yours, but yes, while my girl has friends & plays with them, the friendship remains limited between the kids... never gets extended to me becoming friendly with the other kids parents. Could be partly because they dont know how to deal with single mothers like me :-) or maybe I seem too unapproachable (maybe I dont want them to feel awkward). Not that it really matters since I have enough office friends who care abt me as a person & while they may not visit me at home but they keep in regular touch over the phone. But I do empathise & know the pangs you wld be having. But keep the faith, everything works out for the best ultimately. In case you want to touch base with me, I would be very happy. i just went through ur mail and was really upset to know that u ar in the same boat in which iam sailing.
As for me by neighbours ar really good and having a helpful nature as when i go for the office my daughter starts crying so someone from my neighbour comes and takes her to their house and let her play with their children and u won;t believe my daughter stays less in my house as every one of my neighbours come home and takes her one by one to their house and let her play with their children even though they knows abt my situation.
If i was there near to ur place i would have personaly come to ur house with my daughter to be a part of ur family( u & ur daughter) but i know its not possible as u ar in delhi and i am in bangalore .
So i pray to god let him send his angels to be ur daughters good life long helpful friends...
