Planning a Baby  Discussion Forum

Hi All,

We are a couple married past 2.5 yrs. We have been trying to have a baby past 8 months. We have done our all basic tests and those tests reveal that My sperm count is low. People has suggested me Gunasheela hospital(BasvanGudi) Bangalore and Dr Madhuri Patil(Dr Patil Endoscopy and Fertility Center, Banerghata Road). I am confused where to go (as I am living in Kormangla), and which treatment to take.
Can anybody please Guide me in this respect.

Thanks Arch replied. Dr.Patils' is one of the worst clinics we have ever visited. I suggest nobody should go there. They suck money like blood!! And also they ask you to go for a number of tests even though it may not be required! The doctors (especially Madhuri Patil) is very unfriendly. My hubby & I were so unhappy about treatment offered here. My hubby' s case is about low sperm motility. Patil' s suggested that we should go for IUI & IVF for a baby. When we went for second opinion, we were told that IUI & IVF is absolutely not nexessary & my hubby' s sperm counts and can be rectified through medication & that I can conceive naturally itself! annie replied. hello mr. tarzan, i had my infertility treatment with gunasheela nusring home. i hv a 7 mt old son. if u r confused, this is what you can do(& what we did). we live abroad. when we came to blr for holiday, we made an appt with dr. gunasheela. we told her clearly that we had come just to check out.(in any case junior doctors will take case history & a baseline scan will be done, its their procedure).at that time, dr. gunasheela's daughter dr. devika gunasheela was there. she was cool about it. she explained to us their procedure etc & said we can come back anytime we want. also dr. devika's husband, dr. rajashekar nayak is a male infertility specialist. no need for one to run around to any other labs. i don't know what facilities are available at dr. patil's. rest is your choice. good luck to you & your wife.
