DS,SK,vara,Suki,PP - How is everyone doing? I guess busy with there little ones. Just dropped to say Hi!

Today me and hubby gave bath to Rohan, I was so scared as we did it alone for the first time. Everything went great. He enjoyed the bath but afterwards cried a lot.I guess he was little cold(that what I think) though heater was on in the room. I dressed him and hugged him and fed him. He was warm in Mommy's arms.. He is so cute... I always ask him to grow up fast so that we can dance and sing and have lot of fun :-))

Hey between I hubby bought music cd of children songs... All time favorite Chanda hai tu Suraj hai tu.. Love singing to him 2 in the morning when he is so fussy about sleeping :-))

sorry for replying late....i have been so busy...hardly i have seen TV or the computer...

I am doing great except the brestfeeding part...still i am pumping and giving him milk.Once at night he is getting formula.
as far as BF is concerned i think i am preferring to pump and give him and it is faster and i can rest sometime when my hubby or mom is feeding him the BM.I want to teach him to BF but he gets so cranky while trying that i cannot see him cry and give him the bottle.
Today afternoon was bad i had fever and my breasts were paining....it was breast fever something as i had not pumped milk yest night for a long time plus today morning also there was a gap or 4-5 hrs between pumping ....i had got 102 fever...then i pumped milk i felt better pain was less and took a tynenol...now i am doing ok...tip to all definately pump every 3-4 hrs or BF.
due to this i could not try him BF today and yest we had a small naming ceremony function so could not try yest too.I know i have to ..but..lets see..
he had latched on last 2-3 times...but i think the milk flow is slwo compared to bottle so he starts crys after a while.anyway i am planning to try again.
problem is i have large breats plus not much nipples...since i have been pumping i have some nipples.
any body facing the same problem...please others any suggestions...
rest is so much fun...he is very calm baby ..crys only when he has a wet diaper or is hungry...he has started playing 2-3 hrs a day.it is fun.I am also bathing him since 2-3 days now.Actually my mom is bathing him not in the tub yet but the traditional way massaging him and then bathing him keeping on the legs.She sits in the tub :) and takes him on the legs and pour water and she massages and baths him.We are using coconut oil for massage and all....is Olive oil better for massage...which kind i should purchase ?i have heard lot type of them.

SK Suki replied. Things are going pretty good for me.. i too gave Pranav nice bath.. but for the past 3 days after giving bath also he is not sleeping and cried a lot.. God only knows for what reason he cries...

we tried giving oil bath today .. but really scary to manage... have to get used to all these things soon...

myself and my hubby used to sing songs for Pranav when he was in my tummy.. whenever he cries these days we sing the same song which makes him stop crying (great nah)....

my kiddos regular music is Twinkle Twinke and Row Row... these days he spends more time playing .. kicking and stretching his legs a lot....

again night sometimes is nightmare for us coz we rnt sure y he cries... hope everyone has come out from their BF.. anyone still giving formula and Bottle..

i have started reducing formula .. but atleast one or 2 times give BM from bottle at the night time to reduce my tiredness.

Suki vara replied. I enjoyed all ur posts. Yes, its true that moms enjoy more than kids while giving bath. My Nakshitha luvs to sleep for 4 hrs after good massage with olive oil and tub bath. I starting giving bath just after 1 week of her birth.

U know, she started saying Ukuuuuu, uguuuuu and tries to say vuuu when v talk to her. I am surprised as she started doing this when she was just 15 days old. She completed her 1 mth today. I enjoy dressing up with cute cute dresses and putting bindi to her.

U know, I too luv singing 'chanda hai tu' for my luv..........so ultimately all r having wonderful time with our kids.

pp - try using nipple shield on the other side, it helps in stretching and my be she will latch on it soon. goodluck

I am giving bath to Arav from last 2-3 weeks but alternate days... still I am always scared as he needs very hot water and short time span...if I take more time he starts crying.. Every bath and burp is a big achievement for us.

When no body is around I try to sing for him as I am very bad in singing..
and I feel my singing makes him more cranky ;-)
Its a good idea.. I will also buy songs CD.

Arav has started recognizing me and rotates his head with my voice or If I move around in room...

seems u r njoying with the baby...and hope evry one will be doing same..
yup baby sleeps well after bath..rohan is a week older than my gal..Aashi..but i m alreday giving her bath since last week..just the 8th day she dropped her cord...i know its fun giving bath and the baby sleeps in ur arms hugs u tightly...as bit scared after bath...last week she used to sleep tight after bath..and since two days my husband joined back office i gave her bath all alone..oh god...she scard me...by her crying and doing it alone was really trouble some...but getting used to of evrything..
except feeding :( that too one side only...she and me both tries on right breast but..she doesn't get hold of..and i dnt feel even that nipple is streched when she tries to suck..just like i feel in left breast...and i dnt feel that nipple is stuck between her jaws and that's why she doesn't get hold of it..
pls suggest what can i do abt it...is thr anyone faced this prob..of small nipple...????????

rest of the things are getting better every day...
