hi hetal,
Thanks a lot for ur response. it really felt good. i guess i was not prepared for motherhood as much i educated myself during pregnancy. so now im slowly getting used to things and not panicking for everything.
please give me suggestions on breast feeding and how to improve breastmilk. I'm currently eatsing garlic, ginger powder, i drink a glass of milk and eat a spoon of chawanprash. i feel like i had lots of milk initially, somehow feel it has reduced past 2 days. does it happen?
anyways im glad that i have u to ask any doubts. i enjoyed this website and the thoughts of various people during my pregnancy and am thanful that it continues after the baby too..

and yes whenever you are tired, exhausted, had a hard day,mentally upset,stressed out, had prolongd sexual activity,,couldnt get chance to rest, or take proper diet, mentally upset,physically any work that might have tired you but you didnt feel tiredness from outside,,and diet was not good,,didnt feed baby wel, or did not pump milk on specific regular intervals ------ expect low milk supply for next couple days.

I want to talk about non-technical things on increasing bm.
I have personally experienced this twice.. not once .. that mental condition and mom's confidence affects milk supply.
So please trust yourself, think positive, dont let negative thoughts like that come into your mind.

Stay happy, forget about worries, they are a part of life. Keep telling yourself that your supply is fine, and it will satisfy the baby.

Be relaxed and think good while feeding baby. Imagine the milk flowing from your breast into baby's mouth and then into stomach .. and how it is filling baby's stomach ... how u r giving life to a baby ...

Observe the secure feeling baby has while feeding ... and the dedication with which the baby sucks ... m sure u will have tears in ur eyes ... and u will feel milk coming in!

Your seat shd also be comfortable.

When my baby was 2m old i sufferred from something very tragic in life and i passed that period in tension, tears, and sufferring. Not only my supply reduced, but baby used to be cranky always.
My ped told me some things and I practiced what i told u above.

Supply increased, my health improved, baby also was happy and healthy.

Then when i joined office at 4m, i wd bf baby in mornings and nights. Obviously supply had to reduce. But around 5m i started feeling that baby is not satisfied with my feeds. I started giving bottle, but realised in few days that i m doing same mistake again.

Now i dont let those thoughts come to me, and feed the baby with love and positive thoughts. I tested it after some days, the baby refused bottle after leaving my feed!

So just note this pls.

For technical things like what food u shd eat, etc, there have been postings on this topics so pls look at a other msgs on the boards. If i find any message, i ll post the link here.
