with bw 3.5kgs,currnt 9kgs,,at 10months,she is doing good.

brkfast 9 am-ragi -1/4 cup///no comments////also offer mixed cereals(iron fortified,if available,,wont force you for that,,ragi is good source of iron,,thats y but offering diff foods is also the key to succssful transition to solids,,not to mention the benefits of iron fortified cereals that are packed with lots of vitamins and minerals,,which ragi does not have).offer cereal with bm or formula or some fruit.

11 am - banana chiquita 1/2 mashed////no comments...give more fruits, also offer soups, see if she likes it,,they have lot of liquid...

1 pm - rice with dal/ragi/or rice with any other curry or veggeies + orange juice 3 oz////// avoid giving juices in lunch time,,,if your baby avoids to take water, offer buttermilk or some vegetable juice (room temperature,,),but no fruit juice at lunches...

4 pm- 3 baby biscuits ...add in juices here,,,or a sep serving of buttered toast(multigrain) or roti with curd..

7 pm - ragi or mixed cereals- 1/4 cup --- dont overdo ne food,,if you are giving ragi in morning,,dont give it again...one time is enough,,instead offer at this time a serving of other vegetables or family dinner,,see if she takes this as a dinner and make it a dinner time.

9 pm - 1 apple juice//// avoid giving juices in later part of day,,,offer chopped fruit or mashed fruit instead...at this time, avoid ne citrus,,offer fruits like apple(boiled with skin) or just offer some dessert or some roti with fruit preserves(get the sugarless ones from stores,,or make your own,,saute the chopped fruit,at low temp,,until the juices sep,,and mash them abit,,kids love that,,strawberries are great for it,,add in some sugar only if you taste it as sour,,get good ripe strawberries so that you dont have to put in sugar)

sometimes 11 pm - cerelac 3 scoops mixed with 70 ml of formula --- this is too later dinnerr,,,dont give her habit to feed her aafter 1030,,,itts bad habit for later dinner,,the advisable timings for dinner is 830,,see if you can try to incorporate that...
if she doesnt seems to cooperate,,its ok,,but make sure to feed her well.
her intake is ok but the only concern is she is not getting enough from bm,,,i am sure you must have checked the links,,please do so,,and you will know how much she needs to eat or drink..offer her yogurts, byprods of milk like sour creme,,cheese in her diets,,include multigrains,,,

and after all this,,i dont see her sleeping thru out the day,,doesnt she sleep ?
if she is not sleeping,,thn she is gettng overtired,,,and thats wat is making her wakeup,,the other reason is she is gettng in habit of waking up at night and ask for feeds...be careful this does not tire you further,,
start her on formula,,atleast acc to what i mentioned in links,,she should get enough food and liquids...
remember,,bf is good and very much beneficial for baby,,but if the milk supply is not enough,,its practical enough to offer formula to your baby,,because what matters is your baby is getting enough MILK(formula or bm) at the end of day,,instead of Bm which you are not sure of...
so by the time you introduce her with more varieties, meals and such,,you can introduce her to formula or since she is 10months, try offering her 1oz of boiled/warmed or lukemwarm cows milk,,,see if she accepts it..if she does,,she is ready for cows milk, and formula wont be required !!!!!!
for nething you offer, offer 1 at a time, per week and never hurry,,give your child enough time to accept it..same goes with cows milk,,give 1oz day 1,,see how she goes,,the other day 2oz,,see how it goes and slowly by the time she is 11months or so,,offer a full feed replacing bf...this way it will avoid your getting tired since she wont ask for feeds as she will quite contended..and you can start weaning..
however,if bf is not tiring you, you can still continue it,,upto you,,its your personal decision..

i read between the lines that you are getting stressed out,,so i suggested you above.also to add, watever juices etc that you offer, offer in sippy cup or strawcups or direct glass, start her with it,,its high time for her to start learning diff sucking skills...

good luck.

Sleep Problem due to itchy skin
My baby girl is unable to sleep properly due to skin rashes. I have resumed oil massages to help calm her down and facilitate better sleep, using CITTA Baby Massage Oil. Additionally, I am applying the ointment recommended by her doctor for the rashes. Could you please provide me with more ideas that can promote better sleep for her?... - Sanchari Tarafdar [View Message]

RE:How to Develop a Sleep Routine for your Newborn
According to me this is good but then you cannot force your child to sleep as per your wish as kids as really bad in this and they have a tendency to sleep in day and get up in late night so according to me this is not the key to success, please post if i am wrong.... - Anita [View Message]
