Due Date Club October 2005:Disposable Diapers
2005-11-04
Name: dds

Hi ..
Arav is one month old now, I have started using disposable diapers for nights and while going out. But I need help from others -
1. How often do we need to change then?
2. Should I apply rash cream or baby lotions on sensitive area in advance to avoid diaper rashes later?
3. I feel my baby passes urine or motion more frequently in cloth nappies, is he trying to hold his urge with disposable diapaers.

Please do share if you have any other sugestions or remarks...

thanks in advance
dds

Hi dds, be very careful with the rashes. I am using d.diapers for my baby since day 3. U can use either Balmex or Vaseline Petroleum jelly with every diaper change. The gap between diaper change can be 3-4 hrs. C that poop doesn't stay in the diaper for long as it causes rashes. Hope ur Qns r answered.

bye

Hi,
Disposable Diapers should be changed after every feed. In your case you dont see much , cause the diaper is absorbing the urine and check for the
weight..it will be heavy.
I put baby powder around the genital area...this helps to keep the area dry , hence no rashes.

DDS - I am here in USA and use disposable diapers. I apply vaseline to avoid rash and change the diaper with every feed (2-3 hrs) as it is usually wet ( you don't feel diapers wet but feel it heavier)or check them when he cries.

Hope this helps...
