Due Date Club November 2003:Hip/thigh Pain-anybody have this????

Name: Suma

Hi! All!
I sleep on my left or right side. When I does that I can only sleep for about 40 minutes on either side because my hip/thigh joint gives me terrible pain. I just flip sides for every 40 minutes. And in the morning when both sides are done I have no choice but to get up. I will explain about exactly where it hurts.
When I sleep on the sides, Below my tummy, comes the leg joint and the pain comes just below it where the leg touches the mattress. The pain will be there for about 30 minutes after I get up and after that I will be fine. This thing is going on for past 2 months. I spoke to my doctor and he says to put extra pillows and I did that but not much help. The doc also said prob. because of softening of pelvic muscles etc; But if that's the case, lot of preg. women should have it. I asked many people I know but no body seems to have such pain. Everybody just tells me to put pillows but that never worked and the pain is terrible as though my bones are breaking apart. No preg. book gave any info on this. I was in Normal weight range before preg. I am used to sleep on my back before preg. and also sometimes on the side but never ever experienced this pain before preg.
Does any body have this kind of pain or does anybody heard this complaint??
Waiting for ur input girls,
-Suma

Hi i have not written for a long time .. but have been an active member in regards to reading the messages.. I am also facing the same problem of pain as posted here. My gynac says its becoz of calcium deficency . I cannot take calcium and any milk product at all as it creates nausea for me. still forcing myself to have at least 200mg of calcium at least... and since then the pains have reduced

Hope it helps..
By the way I am presently in India and my due date is 6 Nov

I have just posted my pelvic pain problem .Looks like it is more or less the same pain and I really don't know what to do about it.Somebody told me that kegel exercises might help but I have not yet tried.

Diaper Service Provider,Bangalore
Hi,
Does anyone know if there is a Diaper Service Provider in Bangalore? They generally provide cloth diapers and replace them with a new set every 2-3 days.

Thanks in advance
