Due Date Club December 2005:Child Birth Classes
2005-09-02
Name: Ramya Venkat

I'm planning to enroll myself in the child birth classes. But I'm confused with the various choices that are available. Can someone please suggest the right classes to opt? My hospital offers a complete course, or just breastfeeding or caring for the child etc. I want to enroll in a class which will be really worth attending. Mostly either of my parents will not be able to be with me for the delivery, which means we have to manage on our own. So, wondering which classes will best suit us.

I was also confused about taking child birth class but than I asked couple of my friends who has already been to these classes...they suggested me to go with 1 day child birth class she said no matter how many classes you take it will only prepare you mentally as you learn more from your own experience. Also Lamaaz classes are also good but they are long...so I went with 1 day child class.

Hey dont worry,
Even iam going to child birth class from act 3rd,7th,10th.
I dont think breadfeeding class is necessary bec once u deliver the baby nurse is going to take care of that i mean she will give u training in one day.Iam going for care taking class,
As u said no one r going to be there for your delivery its same with me, and we both r prepared for that.
so care taking class is necessary thats what my friends told me who went through it.
by the way where r u located,
Iam in HOuston(TX).
talk to u soon bye.

Very good doctor
Hi,

I delived a baby boy in March 2009. I consulted Dr.Chitra Ramamurthy during my pregnancy cycle. She' s one of the best doctors in Bangalore. Not many people know about her. She handled the entire process in a very professional manner. I used to visit her clinic in Jayanagar 3rd block. She is very caring and affable. She says what to do and what not to do. ... - Sandhya Rao [View Message]

So long as your baby is feeding, that' s all that really matters. These days, formulas are packed with everything the baby needs, and although it is never as good as breast milk, it' s perfectly fine. It sounds like maybe what you are missing is the bonding that breast feeding provides? My first child had both breast and bottle milk for the first 6 months, when I had a mis... - Jhumri [View Message]
