Due Date Club April 2004:Hello all!!

I'm anu from kerala.Right now i am in boston.I am due on APR-23rd.So I've been reading the posts from the 2nd month of my pregnancy.I tried to join the group once,but since I am not much of a talker,it didnt work out.
My mom is coming in april(if she gets visa).But everyone i know says that 1st delivery will most certainly be 3 to 6 weeks earlier than due date.Is there any truth in this?

According to stats I once saw in US, 80% of pregnant women deliver between 35-42 week. If I were you, I will shoot for 35th week and go from there...

well most deliveries take place 2-3 weeks before the due date and that is true.very rarely they go upto 40 weeks and docs also wait for 42 weeks and if still no sign of delivery,they induce it.
twin pregnancies are usually delivered4-6 weeks early.thats all i know.

I am also from kerala. from kottayam, what about u?
about the first delivery, it varies from one pregnancy to another. some of my friends had it after due date and some before.
