Planning a Baby  Discussion Forum

I have seen in many forums that most of them are seeking for baby girl. Does any one observed this? Why does people want baby girl than baby boy? Mel replied. I think there are a few reasons for this. I' m not saying that I subscribe to these reasons, but this is what I have heard from people who have adopted girls.

One: People think that a boy can still make a life for himself, but an orphan girl has less chances. So, if they want to give a chance to an orphan child, then a girl will have a greater chance of a better lilfe if she gets a family.

Second, they figure that if the child is to be told that he/she is adopted, or if the child finds out, it would be easier to handle a girl than a boy. Monica replied. Hi Swaram,

Yes, Nowdays people r adopting more gals compare to Boys. But this is not the complate Fact, people who r well educated and Young Couples wants to adopt the gal. But if you see the overall percentage, families from Rular background still wants to adopt a boy only, they r waiting for boys from so long. I personally beleive Gals r more Affectionate and caring and Lovable as compare to boys, Even i have adopted a Baby gal. Also if you analyse the records 90% of abandonded infants r Baby gals only, it is so unfortunate that Many parts of the our country, there r people who still kill thier baby gals immediate after thier birth.
