Hiya,

Need to some advice on air travel while pregnant.

1>I am 28 wk preg ,can i travel in flight ?

2>Are there any issues which could occur ?

3>Normally,during flight landing ,i always have a severe pain in my ears,whether this could affect Baby ,in any way ?

I am very afraid specially about point-3.

Hi Brad,
I can share my personal experience with you, if that helps. I travelled during 1st month and 4th month and 5th month of plane. The main advise is dont sit for too long. Walk to the restroom, after say every 2 hours, so that blood circulation is good in your legs. Try swallowing something while landing, anyhow that would not affect baby in any way.

travel safety depends on how complicated or normal your pregnancy is..also depends alot on how your baby is growing or developing inside the womb...
talk to your dr..your dr might recommend you to make a visit for a checkup whther or not to allow you to travel.. if everything is normal during pregnancy, travelling from 5th month to 7th month is ok to do so,under medical consultation. however, it also depends on how long is the traveling time ! if its interstate or 2-3 hours of travelling by air,your dr will be comfortable,,rather than a longer duration of air travel !
check with your about this,he is the best to calculate the risk factors for you.
