Food & You:To have or not to have dry fruits

My doctor has advised me to have dry fruits daily so as to fulfill all the nutritional requirements. I am afraid that eating dry fruits will lead to weight gain. I am already on the heavier side and I do not want to put on more weight. Dry fruits are high in calories so they will tend to add on to the weight. I am thinking of taking vitamin supplements.

You are highly mistaken, dry fruits do not lead to weight gain but surprisingly may lead to weight loss. You have to get your facts right. Dry fruits are a wonderful source of nutrients. they help in creation of new blood cells and hemoglobin. They are helpful in the prevention of cancer.They also help in weight loss. lowering blood pressure, reducing the risk of heart diseases and solving constipation problems are many of their health benefits. They are very good source of omega -3 fatty acids and also aid in brain development.
