Hi all,

Ive been hearing advices from people all around, but im totally confused. Im 8 weeks pregnant. I was wondeirng if all fruits are safe to have , or any fruit one must avoid. Also i heard almonds are a must - is that true?

Ive been working for last many years, now im plannin to reduce my work hours so i get some rest. But some people have been saying to stop work - for atleast first 3 months. Is that necessary ? How active one must be in the first trimester? Would like to know, if someone could share. Is it alright to go for a walk for about 30 mins everyday? Hope to hear some tips. Good luck to all of you! Lots of love

Hi Rids - Fruits are good for you. Many people told me to avoid papaya, mangoes and pineapple because they are warm... So I did... In fruits you can have apple, banana, orange...

Almonds a must - I don't know atleast I didn't have it for first 3 months. Now i soak them (4 in quantity)overnight and eat in the morning with milk.

Working - I don't think it's a problem. I worked full time first 3 month too but then depends how you feel. Reducing working hours is a good idea because you do feel tired first trimester.

Walking is absolutely safe but it is better to take it easy for first 3 months... This is my opinion. Hope this helps and happy and healthy pregnancy.

Very good doctor
Hi,

I delived a baby boy in March 2009. I consulted Dr.Chitra Ramamurthy during my pregnancy cycle. She' s one of the best doctors in Bangalore. Not many people know about her. She handled the entire process in a very professional manner. I used to visit her clinic in Jayanagar 3rd block. She is very caring and affable. She says what to do and what not to do. ... - Sandhya Rao [View Message]

So long as your baby is feeding, that' s all that really matters. These days, formulas are packed with everything the baby needs, and although it is never as good as breast milk, it' s perfectly fine. It sounds like maybe what you are missing is the bonding that breast feeding provides? My first child had both breast and bottle milk for the first 6 months, when I had a mis... - Jhumri [View Message]
