Hey guys,
I have been getting crankier by the day. I know I am acting weird but I don't know what to do to stop acting that way :( Poor hubby is bearing the brunt of all this. Anyone else feeling this way? Please tell me how u overcame it :(
Had my doc's appt yesterday. Have put on 7 lbs this time. She says I should put on only 4-5 lbs at a time. I have put on 22 lbs by now (in my 28th week). Depressing!!
Sorry for cribbing so much! Hope I don't depress anyone !
Take care

Vindhya replied. Hi M,
Just blame it on the hormones. If they are talking during weekends, just go shopping. If during week days, like Avi and Simmi said, listen to music or watch a movie.
Regarding weight gain, 22 pounds is not that much compared to mine. I had already gained that much during my 20th week. But I 've stopped gaining much during the weeks when I should, weird huh. Anyway, as long as you are eating healthy, it should be fine. Our babies will give enough exercise for us to lose weight after delivery.

Guess we all are sailing in the same boat. I too feel just like you, mostly irritated and tired. And then I have these huge mood swings, one moment I am all cheery and happy, and the very next I'm bursting into tears. Yeah, these are all pregnancy blues.. getting worse now as we get closer to the end. Just try to relax more and not let this affect you too much, its ok to vent it out on your hubby I'm sure he understands:) After all, they should share some feelings too:) I keep bugging my hubby everyday that he's gonna get a baby so easily, all the aches and pains are in my share. :-)
Take care and cheer up!

Simmi replied. Hi M. Really sorry to hear you are feeling low but mood swings are normal with our hormones playing up. Even I feel anxious, frustrated, tired and irritated. Hubbies have to bear some brunt so don't feel guilty on that front. however, do try to distract urself when u feel like that, try listening to soothing music, watch a comedy film or program, take a walk or just try and take a nap. I know it don't come easy as I do find it hard to keep calm and controlled. But if u distract urself, temptation to eat things that are fattening would be less. That's what I feel, when I am low, I feel like eating more sweet, fried etc. So hence the weight gain. But instead of feeling guilty of what u have gained, eat regular, healthy snacks, don't keep gap of hrs in between as that is when we tend to overeat. I do it too, and think have gained more than standard but here in UK they don't weigh during pregnancy so I am not fretting so much. Just monitor and eat what u fancy but small amts in regular intervals. Hope u feel better soon. We are hear to share whenever u want to chat. All the best.
Avi replied. Hey M, I understand what you are going through...I tell my hubby that I hate him everyday and have been getting teary eyes more than often.
Simmi and I were talking about how moody we've been lately..
I guess it is part and parcel of being pregnant and of losing control over your body...I know it's hard, but do try and relax yourself...listening to some music, exercising or anything else that might help you feel a less frustrated..
I am in my 28th week too and I've put on 20 pounds too and I understand how you feel about all the weight gain. I've cut down on junk and carbos and have been exercising more (walking for 45 mins)..a few more months and we can start working on getting back to shape..so Cheer up
YOu can vent here anytime you want...cause most of us are going through it too..

I know Alka, I think its because we can't do a lot of things we were able to do before coz of the weight and big tummy and all that. And of course hormonal changes and all.
And then if hubby tells me 'don't cry it isnt good for the baby' I feel like crying more coz I start feeling guilty that I am harming the baby !!
Oh the joys of pregnancy...but then this is the last trimester, it will be over soon and we will have the baby in our arms :)
Take care and cheer up. I am in a much better mood today :)

Lucky you that you aren't gaining that much weight now. I am and also worrying abt it. I know worry doesn't help but I wish I could convince myself!

Thanks Simmi.
I will try to do something to distract myself so I don't feel so low. Luckily I am not craving for sweets or fattening food! Yet my weight seems to increase without a problem. I guess I need to start regular exercise, have been really lazy on that front!!
Anyway thanks for ur reply. Heartening to know that I am not the only one going thru this !
Take care

Hi,
Does anyone know if there is a Diaper Service Provider in Bangalore? They generally provide cloth diapers and replace them with a new set every 2-3 days.
