My son is 19 month old, when he is around kids he grab a toy and then he push the kid, and he may do that with a hole group if possible. At home he is very sweet he kisses us and give us alot of huges but when referse to kids he transform. Suddently now he is biting us and grabing us with alot of pressure using his hands, have any body experience such thing, tell me what I can do. Champ replied. Dear luis,

Ur son is about 1 and half years old. At this stage in life he hardly knows the concept of sharing, to him everything is centred around self - my ball, my bat, my dad, my mom, my toy and so on.

This is a passing phase which if holds on mite become a habit. I think now is the rite time for u to start embibing the concept of sharing and owning things. Sometimes he mite howl loudly if u take away smthg which he wants to grab and give to the original owner. But do this firmly and dont give in to his crying or whining.
Biting and grabbing at u mite be a result of testing his limits out with ur authority - how far he can breach ur authority? Growing children need their parents to be authoritative in life. They will always test the limits but the limits need to laid down firmly. Once he breaches it u need to convey that while u love him u dont like his doing and until he mends his ways he mite stay awy from the ppl who love him more than nebody (Mom and Dad etc). The concept of giving a time out mite also work.
