Predicting the risk before thebirth of child saves both the child and the parents from future trauma and stress. Triple marker test detects the risk factors before the baby is born. So parents have the time to take an informed decision. it also helps in planning future treatment plan, if the pregnancy is continued.

My doctor has advised me to go for a triple marker pregnancy test. I have never heard about this test. I am nervous and thinking if there is something wrong with me. Why do i need to go for this test? How will it help me and my baby?

Do not worry Gunjan. Follow your doctor´ s advise. Triple marker test helps to detect if the baby is having Downs syndrome or not so that the parents can take a better decision regarding the baby. it also depicts other risks that are associated with pregnancy. You would be in a better peace of mind after this test.
