Sleeping:bottle sucking while sleeping

My son completed 3 this Oct,but still now I am not able to make him sleep without bottle sucking.Initially I found it a good thing as by putting a bottle in his mouth he would sleep on his own.But even at this age he is not able to give up his habit.Without drinking milk from his bottle he wont get sleep how much ever he tries.I am really worried for that.If any of you have experienced such a problem guide me please. Will he be able to give up this habit on his own when he grows up?

Never mind I am also struggling with the same problem. So it is becoming diffcult for me to wean him off the bottle. My doctor has told me that even if the child cries, just do not give the bottle from a cut off date. Make him eat, drink naturally before he goes to sleep. I know it is difficult but not impossible.

maybe u might think that its just one more advice u received but there is never a harm in trying.i feel you must make ur son hate the bottle.you can do that by giving him sour water or something that tastes bad or even some liquid that he hates.you must always make him have his dinner very
fillingly and after that give him lots of water and immediately make him sleep.try giving him milk in some fancy glass.but be sure to fill him so much that there is no place for even a drop of milk.i know it might be a bit difficult but u can always try.also be sure of not giving him the bottle even though he cries too much.as u said he doesnt sleep otherwise, for how much time he wont sleep.finally after crying lots he will definetely sleep.what u need is a little bit of cooperation and a little bit of patience with ur son with of course a little bit of stubbornness.dont lose heart.AND ALL THE BEST.

Sleep Problem due to itchy skin
My baby girl is unable to sleep properly due to skin rashes. I have resumed oil massages to help calm her down and facilitate better sleep, using CITTA Baby Massage Oil. Additionally, I am applying the ointment recommended by her doctor for the rashes. Could you please provide me with more ideas that can promote better sleep for her?... - Sanchari Tarafdar [View Message]

RE:How to Develop a Sleep Routine for your Newborn
According to me this is good but then you cannot force your child to sleep as per your wish as kids as really bad in this and they have a tendency to sleep in day and get up in late night so according to me this is not the key to success, please post if i am wrong.... - Anita [View Message]
