Hi fiends!!
My periods are delayed by more than two weeks, i did pregnancy tests at home almost four times but its showing negative result. I am really confused and tensed, what else can be the reason of overdue periods than pregnancy. one test can be wrong but not all.
I have taken appointment with the doc but cant wait till then,want to know as soon as possible.

A similar thing happened to me sometime back and my periods were overdue by 20 days.However,I knew I wasn't pregnant as I was not trying for a baby.Needless to say,my results came out negative.The doctor said that many times due to harmonal changes and stress,periods are overdue.This time around,my pregnancy was confirmed on just the 35th day.
Please wait for sometime and see the doctor.A blood test is more accurate.For all you know,you might be pregnant.

Good luck sn205 replied. can be the cause for delayed periods. Usually a home pregnancy test should show the results within two weeks of missing the period. At this point, there is nothing much except for calling the doc and notifying the urgency and going for a blood test as soon as possible. Ratna replied. Hi,

I experienced a similar problem like u did.I missed my period by 15 days.I did the preg tests just like u did & was anxious to hear a positive result.It was negative on the preg test & at the doc's.I got my period in a day after my doc ruled out preg.Maybe my mind relaxed & so did my body.

I feel another reason for this to occur was we were trying to get preg & I was overly obsessed on getting preg.I guess I was subconciously stressed.

I do not know if this is what ur going through, but if u r then just relax & stop thinking abt this.

Do consult the doctor. And pls. do not worry. All the best, most probably you are pregnant and sometimes the tests do come wrong. But i had the same case last year and my periods were late by three weeks. I thought i was pregnant but it showed negative. The doctor also confirmed that it was negative and may be its due to the stress and strain that i was going through during that time. Sometimes periods get late even due to over exersion.

In any case do not worry and see the doctor as soon as possible. Also, its important that you dont take any drugs till you consult the doctor. Not even drugs which force the periods. anonymous replied. Hi,

My wife had -ve result during urine test and then we consulted the well known doctor in delhi. She confidently said result is okay and my wife is not pregnant and prescribed medicine for periods (diagnosed delayed), thyroid test and ultrasound of pelvic. Fortunately my wife didn't took the medicne and we went staright for test and ultrasound. All thyroid tests were normal and guess what ? my wife was pregnant and foetus is 10 weeks old. I suggest you got to a good doctor and discuss. sometimes due to hormonal changes in the body urine test are unreliable. dr naila shah replied. no need to worry about anything, if u have done the test 4 times n its negative.dont worry. may be u just have ur periods delay,this can be due to many causes some infection aur anemia(low red blood cell count).until u see ur doctor take care of ur diet. and have a pregnancy test done at the doctors too. if u r not pregnant and u dont have periods till 3 months then u should cosider it seriously;coz it is due to some disease.

The same thing happened to me .I was 18 days late and am never late the showed negative but I was positive it turned out that I was wrong , The tests are usually 95% correct, anyway the next month I got pregnant and this time the tests showed positive so dont lose heart

iam from the april duedate club. the same situation happened to me once. ifs therez a sudden increase in ur weight,if u have increased ur fat intake, or suddenly u started working out a lot, u may miss ur period. therez nothing to worry.
one more thing, one of my friend did the home test and it was negative. when she went to the doc, she turned out to be pregnant.so dont worry.visit the doc as soon as possible
