Hi Mommies,

Can u pls share ur experience, advise & tips on how do i encourage & teach my 1 year old boy to :

a) EAT BY HIMSELF ... currently both eating or drinking anything by himself is a big zero!

b) WALK ... Current status .. crawling rapidly & can pull himself to stand against sofa, chairs etc .. btw i am against walkers

c) TALK ... Current status .. is babbling .. makes sweet sounds & sometimes says mama very clearly but i am still not sure if he understands & says it .. it just FEELS lovely :-)

D) TOILET TRAINING ...currently does susu, potty in his nappies/diapers ... i can understand
when he is doing potty as he makes a peculiar face but his timings arent very regular still

Pls advise on all or any topic .. i will be grateful & PLEASE DO REPLY SOON if u can as i
will get little to no access to a computer after 12 May.

Thanks

Nidhi

hi nidhi
walking, and talking would come by itself, onlything is that u will have to encurage him to do so,
eating, he can strt if he is given to play with the bowl or spoon, my 18 month old son has the favourite toy as spoon and katori, and in this play he has not only strted but insist on eating by himself
and yes pot-- u can make him sit on the pot at a fixed time , say as soon as he wakes up, in a few days u ll find that he himself is aksing to sit
and offcourse be patient

Speech/language delay - 2.3 yr old boy
Hello Everyone

Our 28 months old boy is not speaking simple 2 or 3 word sentences yet. He speaks a few words such as mama, papa, aunty etc but definitely not more than 10. Also, he doesn't understand slightly longer sentences, even when we speak slowly and enact it such as "we'll go out after we eat". Otherwise, he appears perfectly normal. Shoranur kerala samajam Ayurveda hospital review
Hi All,

My son is less than 4 and has been diagnosed to be on the autism spectrum. He is non-verbal. We are taking him for OT and ABA/speech therapy.

Meanwhile, I read about an Ayurvedic hospital called Kerala Samajam hospital in Shoranur. Has anyone gone there for treatment? Any reviews?

Hints for Nursing
Babies eat and eat and eat. Although nature has done a pretty good job of providing you and your baby with the right equipment, in the beginning it's almost guaranteed to be harder than you expected. From sore nipples to tough latch-ons, nursing can seem overwhelming.
