they are most useful when the baby is very young. at that time, you can never have enough!

my son is close to 4 but still likes to hold them especially when he is sick and wants something cozy to hold. I have kept one in his cubby in school. It's a familiar object from home. He does not do anything with it, but likes to see it there. Sometimes, he uses them for his imaginative play.

Dear Lakshmi,

I also use receiving blankets to put my kids on when I have to change their diapers in public. I have one of those plastic cushions for diaper changing that came with my diaper bag and I use the receiving blankets to make it more comfortable.

it dpends on you how to use it further,,i still use it for my baby to just cover her as its warm climate right now,,,and she likes to sleep being covered..also the small ones i got in gifts i often use as feeding bibs,as my dd doesnt like wearning a bib, but she is fine with this big piece of cloth, wrapped along her neckline of her tshirts.cut them to squares and make washcloths,,,or store them for next baby ! they pretty versatile and really nice of use !
the bigger one i got from hospital i use it as her towel ! its 100%cotton,soaks nicely and wraps her just perfect...
if nothing of use,use it as kitchen napkins :))
take care, and good luck

Sleep Problem due to itchy skin
My baby girl is unable to sleep properly due to skin rashes. I have resumed oil massages to help calm her down and facilitate better sleep, using CITTA Baby Massage Oil. Additionally, I am applying the ointment recommended by her doctor for the rashes. Could you please provide me with more ideas that can promote better sleep for her?... - Sanchari Tarafdar [View Message]

RE:How to Develop a Sleep Routine for your Newborn
According to me this is good but then you cannot force your child to sleep as per your wish as kids as really bad in this and they have a tendency to sleep in day and get up in late night so according to me this is not the key to success, please post if i am wrong.... - Anita [View Message]
